Pencil Portrait- Karan

I did this portrait in pencil medium last year. Likeness and expressions is a highlight of this work. Its not a live sketching as I referred one of the photo from from selected family album.
Innocence is a key in kids portrait that's what I somehow satisfied with a result :)

Urban skerching- Raste wada

Sketching at site is a fun, interesting and joyful. Here are some quick sketches I did during Urban Sketchers Sunday morning event. Visited Raste Wada which belongs to one of the Peshawas Sardar.
Raste Wada located in Rasta Peth of Pune is one of the largest remaining Wadas. This place is still remained as Private Property. Now struggling to retain the beauty because this structure is huge to maintain. Could be possible if its merged to Heritage place.

Shivaji Bhosale also known as Chhatrapati Shivaji (1630-1680) was great Maratha Warrior.
So far I have more portraits of Great Shivaji Maharaj made in different mediums/style. I will publish them later separately. Portrait drawings of great personalities is always a challenge.

Watercolor Portrait- Kathakali Dancer

Kathakali is one of the major forms of  classical Indian Dance. Distinguished by its elaborately colorful make-up, costumes and face masks wearing actor-dancers, who have traditionally been all males. Kathakali primarily developed southwestern region of India Kerala.
